Who we are

Liberate your Radio - CKLN 88.1fm
http://www.ckln.fm

Located at Ryerson University in downtown Toronto, CKLN broadcasts to the Toronto area at 88.1fm, and to the world via our website at http://www.ckln.fm

We provide original programming all day and night, every day of the year. Our programming is produced almost entirely by a volunteer staff of over 200, who come to CKLN from every neighbourhood and community of Toronto. 50 of our volunteers are current or former students of Ryerson University.

Many of our programmers are deeply involved in the community around their respective genres of music. Many are activists and organizers involved with Toronto social and political movements.

We also welcome journalism students and others who are seeking to develop their skills or gain experience in broadcasting. Many high schools have placed co-op students with CKLN for a semester or two.

Ryerson students who are eligible for workstudy positions may apply for work with CKLN. International students studying english have been placed with CKLN.

The day-to-day operations of CKLN are managed by a small paid staff of full- and part-time people. Short-term contracts for specific programming initiatives are posted frequently on this site.

Overall guidance is provided by the CKLN Board of Directors, composed of four elected representatives of the student body, one appointed representative of the Ryerson Student Union, two elected representatives of CKLN's volunteers and community listeners, respectively, a former staff member, the program director and the station manager.

Feedback, fan mail, or complaints about program content or other matters can be called in to the office at 416.979.5251, or emailed to stationmanager@ckln.fm
